The Black Horse Pike Regional School District is seeking to employ skilled maintenace workers on a part time basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Demonstrated skilled abilities and/or certification/licenses in the following areas: masonry, electrician, heating and air conditioning, irrigation, welding or plumbing. A recommendation to serve in this position will be written to the Business Administrator from the Facilities Director no earlier than 60 hours of evaluated work as a substitute custodian/maintenance employee.
2. Basic knowledge of electricity, low pressure boilers, carpentry, masonry, controls, welding, plumbing and instruments.
3. Strong work ethic, organizational management skills and abilities to problem solve.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Service, adjust, and perform preventative maintenance on all controls and mechanical systems including the pneumatic temperature control system.
2. Perform repairs on plumbing throughout the buildings and grounds.
3. Perform welding, burning and braising tasks as needed.
4. Perform electrical work within ability.
5. Perform carpentry, masonry and machinery tasks within ability.
6. Assist with emergency facilities repairs.
7. Assist with emergencies as directed by the supervisor, including weekends and holidays.
8. Assist the supervisor to prepare specifications for major maintenance projects.
9. Assist the foreman or maintenance tech/master mechanic with maintenance tasks, perform minor repairs on equipment and conduct preventative maintenance tasks.
10. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor, foreman or administration.
