The Black Horse Pike is seeking a General Cafeteria Worker to fill a permanent part time position for the 2018 - 2019 school year.
Qualifications: Demonstrated aptitude and ability for successful performance of the listed responsibilities.
Reports to: The Cafeteria Manager
Job Goal: To provide quality and nutritious meals and snacks to the students and faculty with professional and courteous service.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintains a high degree of sanitation in kitchen and cafeteria at all times.
- Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with customers and co-workers.
- Responsible for maintaining an efficient, productive, safe, and sanitary work station.
- Able to list and understand the meal pattern regulations and serving requirements established by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.
- Responsible for storeroom familiarity and first-in first-out procedures.
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the student and faculty meals in a timely manner.
- Assists in preparing food items, packaging and setting up kiosks.
- Serve food items during lunch service.
- Remove used trays, pans, trash, and waste from counters, tables, and other areas, and clean these areas in a sanitary manner.
- Washes trays and pans and places them in a sanitary location.
- Count money, record production records and complete deposit slips.
- Ability to operate food service equipment independently.
- Performs duties as required for any special functions as directed by the cafeteria manager.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
